I was like, ‘What’s Margiela?’ back then.

Glam Poetry was created by Rachel Finkelstein in 2017 out of love of all things stylish, chic and glam. After working and living in Manhattan for two years and constantly being praised on the street for her unique and daring style, Glam Poetry is an answer to the ever-popular question, "where did you get that?". She describes her style as feminine, minimalist, and ever-evolving. Her style icons include SJP, Laura Brown, and Olivia Palermo. At 5'2", she can be seen any second of any day wearing 3+ inch heels.

The Idea

I once read somewhere that if you have something to say you should blog about it, even if your mom is your only reader (hi mom). Fashion was my first love and while I read everything from InStyle to WWD, R29 to literally EVERY fashion girl Instagram ever to be created, I was a little disappointed with the affordable yet high quality inspiration out there. So I want to say to all of you that affordable style IS possible, and I want to inspire you to achieve it!

Who It's For

YOU! Okay, but who is *you* exactly? Well, if I'm hitting my target demographic, then you are an 18 to 35-year-old female whose sole purpose for getting out of bed in the morning is to put together an outfit that will make all of your friends/coworkers/fellow subway riders jealous... yet you can't afford a different Gucci bag for every day of the week (and if you can, wanna help a broke girl out?). If you're looking for style inspiration at any price point, then welcome aboard!

Fun Facts About Me

1). My initials are RBF. Seriously. I was doomed from the start.                2.) I've always known I wanted a future in fashion. For my bat mitzvah I asked for and received my very own sewing machine. To this day I have used it a total of 4 times.                     3). I am obsessed with all flat-faced dogs.                                                   4). My go to piece is a Mackage pebbled moto jacket that I bought myself for my birthday last year. It is the most expensive thing I own and my most prized possession.
